OUR ANCHORS

Luke Meli is a Media Studies and Production major. This semester will be his eighth semester with OwlSports Update. This semester he'll be anchoring Courts in Session with Emilie Cochrane and Brielle Berry. This will be Luke's fourth semester anchoring, but his first with Courts in Session. After he graduate he'd like to get into play-by-play broadcasting, and one day work as the voice of a professional basketball team.

Brielle N Berry
is a Journalism major with a Sports Media Certificate. This will be her seventh and final semester with OSU but her second semester anchoring for OwlSports Update. Post graduation, Brielle would like to be a sports anchor, and eventually become a sideline reporter for the NBA, WNBA, or NFL. Another future goal of hers is to be an assistant basketball coach at the professional level, or become a basketball analyst.

Emilie Cochrane is a junior studying Broadcast Journalism at Temple. In September, she had the honor of being named a college Emmy Award winning journalist for OwlSports Update. Through this organization, she has been given many opportunities to report on important stories revolving around Temple's athletic teams. This spring will be her first semester on the anchor desk. Last year, she had the opportunity to intern with Philadelphia Sports Digest, and she is looking forward to working with The Sports Fan Base Network and The Liberty Line this spring and summer. Additionally, she is a three-year member of Temple University’s cheerleading team, an Honors student, and the president of The Sports Media Society for Women. In her free time, Emilie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Luna. One day, she hopes to become a sideline reporter for the NBA or the NFL.
