Media Studies & Production When did you start at OwlSports Update? 2014 What is your current job? Photojournalist at WBFF Fox45 in Baltimore, MD About Ben "I was born in Germany and moved to the United States when I was seven years old with my family. I was always amazed by broadcasting and video production. In high school, I was heavily involved with my school's newspaper and morning announcement. Often pulled all-nighters turning sports highlights into videos for the whole school to see (I was crazy). Visiting my older brother, Kevin (also OSU alum) at Temple made me realize TU was the right place for me. As soon as I became involved with TUTV, I didn't want to stop learning. Opportunities came and went and I tried to take advantage of every one of them. In my senior year of college, I began working for my hometown NBC affiliate (WGAL-TV in Lancaster, PA) for their "Football Friday" high school football show. Right after my final class on Friday's I made my way to Lancaster to pick up camera gear and take a station vehicle out - and I was on my way to football games around the area - so much fun! After graduation I continued to work at WGAL for one year until I made the move to WBFF-TV in Baltimore, MD - an NPPA "heavyweight". I love storytelling and the power of local journalism. Outside of TV, I freelance on the side. Currently, I am a media specialist for the local Rotary Club and run social media/make videos for a local high school football team. I also volunteer for my church's media team!" Favorite Memory with OwlSports Update?
